"What equipment do you use to make your real estate videos?"
I get this question ALL the time!
Video has become a huge part of my real estate business. From listing videos and property tours to market updates, social media, client education, and even television appearances like my recent feature on Atlanta News First, I am constantly creating content.
But here is something I have learned along the way:
You do not need a professional production studio to create great real estate video. You need the right tools, a setup that works for you, and the confidence to hit RECORD.
So I decided to create one place where I can share the equipment, technology, and apps I actually use in my real estate business.
And because my setup is always evolving, I will continue updating this guide as I test new equipment and discover new tools.
Lighting: My New NEEWER Ring Light
Let's start with my newest upgrade!
My previous ring light has been with me for years. In fact, it was designed when iPhones were considerably smaller.
As phones became larger, my old setup became less practical. My phone barely fit in the holder, I had to remove the case to use it, the stand was beginning to lean, and years of traveling between my offices and real estate listings were taking their toll.
It was time for an upgrade.
Enter my new NEEWER Ring Light.
The new setup is considerably larger and sturdier, with multiple mounting options, a magnetic controller, and a remote that I accidentally discovered could start recording my iPhone.
My content creation setup. A smartphone, a ring light, and a few minutes of time is all you really need.
Why I Upgraded
For me, the biggest improvement isn't simply having a newer ring light.
It is having equipment ready when I need it.
I work from two offices, so instead of retiring my original ring light, I am leaving it permanently set up at my REMAX office. The new NEEWER setup will stay in my home office.
That means no more hauling a ring light back and forth every time I want to shoot a quick video.
When there is an important real estate story, market change, or idea I want to share, I can simply turn on the light, grab my phone, and start recording.

What Is In My Real Estate Video Toolkit
This is the part of the guide I will continue expanding.
Lighting: NEEWER Ring Light
Lighting can make an enormous difference in how professional a smartphone video looks. I use ring lights for talking-head videos, market updates, educational content, and other situations where I want consistent lighting regardless of the room or time of day.
Whether you are just getting started with video or looking to upgrade your setup, the most important thing is to start. Your phone is more powerful than you think, and the right lighting can make all the difference.
