Fish Tales is one of those places that reminds me why we chose to live in this part of Georgia. There is something truly special about sitting on a deck overlooking Lake Lanier, fresh Gulf grouper on the table, a cold drink in hand, and the sunset unfolding across the water. It is casual enough for a weeknight dinner with the family and special enough to bring out-of-town guests who need to be convinced that North Georgia living has serious perks. The Gulf Grouper is the dish I order when I want to be sure of an excellent meal, and the Tuna Poke Nachos are the appetizer I insist first-timers try.
