One of the things that makes Braselton and the Château Élan area particularly appealing to families is the sheer variety of activities available within a short drive. From waterparks and sports leagues to hiking trails and community festivals, there's always something for kids of all ages. After raising my family in this community, these are the activities and destinations I recommend most to families considering a move to the area.
Reunion Country Club Waterpark
Just 8 miles from Château Élan in Hoschton, Reunion Country Club offers one of the best family-friendly waterpark experiences in the area. The community's resort-style pool complex includes a waterpark with slides, a splash area for younger kids, and plenty of space for lounging. While it's a private club amenity, guest access is sometimes available, and it's worth exploring if your family is evaluating nearby communities.
Château Élan Resort Pools
For residents, the resort's pool areas provide a wonderful family summer experience. The main pool area offers a resort-quality setting with lounge chairs, towel service, and poolside dining at Fleur-De-Lis. Kids can splash in the pool while parents relax with a cocktail from Le Soleil bar. Seasonal pool programming and kids' activities add to the experience during summer months.
Sports Programs & Leagues
The Château Élan Sports Club offers tennis, pickleball, basketball, and a walking track through a separate Sports Club membership. Members can also enjoy special classes, tennis lessons, kid's camps, and more. Youth tennis lessons and clinics are also available through the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Academy at the resort, providing professional-level instruction for aspiring young players. The community also has informal basketball games, pickup tennis, and plenty of space for kids to ride bikes and play outdoors.
Reunion Country Club in Hoschton also offers swim team programs, tennis lessons, and youth sports programming through their racquet club and fitness center.
Parks & Outdoor Play

The park has playgrounds, picnic areas, and open fields for running around. It's one of the best family-friendly outdoor destinations in the area.
Braselton LifePath is a 10-foot-wide paved multi-use path that connects key residential and commercial areas within Braselton. It's ideal for family walks, bike rides, and even golf cart outings, offering a safe and scenic way to explore the community.
Lake Lanier
About 30 minutes west, Lake Lanier is a major family recreation destination. Don Carter State Park, the only state park on the lake, offers hiking, biking, beaches, boat ramps, and campsites. The lake itself is perfect for boating, fishing, swimming, and paddleboarding. Multiple marinas offer boat rentals and family-friendly lake activities. During summer, Lanier Islands features a waterpark and seasonal entertainment.

Why Families Love Braselton
The combination of resort-quality amenities, outdoor recreation, a safe community environment, and proximity to both nature and city attractions makes Braselton an exceptional place to raise a family. Kids grow up with a sense of freedom and community that's increasingly rare, with neighbors who look out for one another and a lifestyle that encourages outdoor play, sports, and family time. Life's too short for ordinary homes, and Braselton offers families an extraordinary place to call home.
